The modular training program for robotic surgery

Abstract

Robotic surgery has proven advantages over traditional techniques of endoscopic interventions; and now it has been successfully used in abdominal surgery, proctology, urology, gynecology, cardiac surgery, thoracic and pediatric surgery. The author offers a medical specialist training program in key areas of robotic surgery which consists of 10 modules and describes in detail the characteristics of each stage of education. The author believes that the described training program will help prepare highly qualified doctors with the required set of competencies.
