Giant cardiac cavernous hemangioma: the technique of reconstructive organ-saving surgery

Abstract

This article describes a rare clinical case of a huge cavernous hemangioma of the right heart. Successful surgical resection of the tumor required multicomponent surgical reconstruction: repair of the entire anterior wall of the right atrium using xeno pericardium; repair and remodeling of the right atrioventricular connection and proximal parts of the right ventricle; autovenous bypass of the right coronary artery. Postoperative period was uneventful and on the 7th day after surgery the patient was discharged from the hospital.
