Coronary blood flow and myocardial function in coronary heart disease

Abstract

Were analyzed the results of a study of coronary blood flow and assessment of myocardial function before and after myocardial revascularization in 59 patients with coronary heart disease.

The most favorable for the function of shunts in the system of the LCA were diastolic and systolic-diastolic types of phase structure of blood flow, the bypass patency of their respective amounted to 94.8 and 87,5%. Shunts with systolic type of blood flow were passable in 26,99 of cases (р<0,01, coefficient of contingent 0,97). This way, even the meaning of the blood flow more than 60 ml/min during systole weak and brief shunt patency after the operation. At the same time the bloodstream less than 40 ml/min, but when diastolic and systolic- diastolic types of blood flow, they were passable. Good shunt function to branches RCA was observed with systolic and systolic-diastolic types of blood flow, respectively 100 and 87%, much worse accessibility in diastolic type of blood flow – 29,4% (p<0,01, coefficient of contingent 0,97). It is noteworthy that more than half of shunts with high diastolic blood flow (>60 ml/min) were obstructed, while more than 90% of cases with blood flow less than 40 ml/min, but when systolic and systolic-diastolic types of blood flow were passable. With the normalization of myocardial function was recovering flow of blood in the ventricle.
