Renal allotransplantations from living related donors in patients with Alport syndrome

Abstract

Aims. Appreciate results of related kidneys in patients with Alport syndrome and compare them with results of kidney transplantation in patients with renal hypoplasia.

Materials and methods. To carry out comparative analysis we utilized 8 patients with Alport and 27 patients with kidney hypoplasia. To execute this examination we utilized: cumulative survival by Caplan–Meyer, cumulative risk by Willcox, calculation grafts and patients losses.

Results. Comparative analysis has demonstrated, that level of patient and graft losses was almost equal in both groups. Practically equal were cumulative survival and cumulative risk.

Conclusion. In spite of development of anti-GBM-nephritis in patients with Alport syndrome, still results keep comparable with results of kidney transplantation in patients with other native diseases.
