Angelina Jolie's casus and ethical problems of modern oncology

Abstract

This article discusses some of moral problems of modern oncology, related to development the targeted approach, the desire to personalize predictive (diagnostic) methods and preventive health interventions. It notes the role of the commercialization in the formation of new models of the relationship between doctors and patients. As a representative illustrative example is considered a case of the American movie star A. Jolie. The influence of her publications on the decision to have a preventive mastectomy in woman is presented.
