The problem of maligmant neoplasm in clinical renal transplantation

Abstract

To appreciate the effectivity of treatment for recipients of allogenic kidneys with tumors, we have analyzed our clinical experience. Kidney grafting was fulfilled to 632 patients, in four of them malignancies were diagnosed in different periods after the operation. One patient with tumors in bot h kidneys was on hemodialysis. Malignancies in operated patients were diagnosed 0.56–48 months after kidneys transplantation. Three patients have received kidneys from cadaver donors, one – from mother. In all the patients postoperative period was without complications. All the patients were investigated 12–118 (52.25±48.66) months after native nephrectomy. Nobody of them has demonstrated any signs of recurrence nor of metastases. So, recipients of grafted kidneys, whose posttransplant period was complicated with tumors of native kidneys, can be successfully cured.
