Technology independent assessment of professional competence

Abstract

The purpose of this work was development of independent assessment technology of specialists with medical and pharmaceutical education competence with use of the international experience. In furtherance of this goal such mechanisms as the objective structured clinical examination, the analysis of professional standards in health care and also original grading system (in penalty points) with use of an expert assessment electronic sheets were offered. The main indicators of assessment have been developed during the professional examination taking into account a different direction, the forms and control methods including testing and expert assessment are chosen. Grading results on multimark self-developing system can be converted into assessment on any scale, including on classical for Russia – 5-mark, using similar approach for end-of-year examinations. A conversion of technical points in traditional assessment can be made by means of a rating (serial) or integrated (absolute) scale.
