Extracorporeal life support in the treatment of critical conditions in cardiac surgery

Abstract

Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is an important option in the treatment of critical states. MCS is a part of the cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) protocol in our hospital. The article presents our experience in extracorporeal life support in patients with postoperative acute heart failure within the period from 2009 to 2016.
