EDITORIAL
Abstract
Dear authors and readers,
It has been a lot of water under the bridge when, in June 2013, the pilot issue of our journal was released.
Today, it is one of the most popular medical journals in Russia: the circulation has tripled, the e-journal
has appeared and is actively used by our readers. Our authors are capable of demonstrating videos related
to their articles. The journal has launched its channels on YouTube and Facebook, which provides for active
discussions concerning the articles published on these websites. This level has been noticed in the system
of the professional journalism: nowadays, our journal has been recognized not only by the State Commission for
Academic Degrees and Titles of the Ministry of Education of Russia, but also by such responsible international
agency as Scopus. And finally, we are fostering our contacts with Elsevier Publishing House that offered its
participation in international distribution of scientific articles of our journal.
As you know, however, there is always room for perfection. This development concept is postulated by our
renewed editorial board and by GEOTAR-Media Publishing House. From this issue onwards, we are offering you
a new format of the journal: along with the possibility of watching videos, we are starting to assign an extra
QR-code for each copy of the journal, thus providing for the reader to download the current issue of the journal,
as well as all archive issues, to any electronic device, starting from a cell phone.
