Single-port technology in gallstone disease treatment

Abstract

This paper describes a comparative analysis of the technical implementation of single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy and standard methods, the results of technology implementation, evaluation of clinical effectiveness, determine the indications and contraindications to it. The research is based on the results of videolaparoscopic cholecystectomy performed in 102 patients. Depending on the mode of the operation the patients were divided into 2 groups. The first of them were 65 patients who underwent standard videolaparoscopic cholecystectomy, the second – 47 patients operated with the use of single-port system videolaparoscopic KeyPort. Our clinical through a single-port access to the gallbladder showed the need to use a variety of techniques to successfully complete the transaction. In these findings we showed comparative analysis of above-described methods in detail, also advantages and disadvantages with possibilities of wide universal application.
