Normalization of intrarenal blood flow after surgical treatment of aortic insufficiency caused by valve dysplasia and infective endocarditis

Abstract

The authors noted significant impairment of intrarenal blood flow with almost complete cessation of the diastolic component of blood flow in the renal parenchyma in 51-year-old patient with IV grade aortic insufficiency. Successful aortic valve replacement in combination with mammary bypass surgery in cardiopulmonary bypass and cold cardioplegia allowed to normalize not only intracardiac, but renal hemodynamics also. Gemodialysis in the postoperative period is not required. No specific complications were registered in the postoperative period.
