Celebrating 100 years – American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) (selected comments)

In Boston (USA), the Jubilee 100th Congress of one of the most effective and representative surgical communities – the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons – was held. In this article the authors give a brief information about the most memorable reports and some conclusions about the main ways of development of modern cardiac surgery.
