Influence of the time of the abolition of the dual desagregants therapy on frequency of resternotomy after CABG

Abstract

This paper is the analysis of the frequency of resternotomy after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for the early postoperative bleeding depending of the time of the abolition of the dual desagregants therapy in the preoperative period. This is the analysis of time when we can cancel aspirine and clopidogrel or ticagrelor therapy before CABG. We analyses the necessity of blood transfusions related to later cancellation of double desagregant therapy before CABG and possibility of preventing resternotomy for early postoperative bleeding associated with late cancellation of antiplatelet agents. We concluded the importance of early cancellation of double desagregants therapy as predictor of early postoperative bleeding and as well as a factor contributing to an additional transfusion of donor blood.
