Left ventricular outflow tract obstruction after mitral valve plasty
Abstract
The article deals with the occurrence and treatment of obstruction of the left ventricular out-flow tract in a patient after coronary artery bypass grafting and mitral valve surgery. The main
causes of the complication were acute left ventricular failure and systolic anterior motion of
the mitral valve. Based on this case we considered current algorithms for managing patients
with this pathology, and presented our own experience of treating this complication.
