D-dimer and fibrin-monomer as markers of efficiency of the new oral anticoagulants

Abstract

Today in clinical practice new oral anticoagulants are widely used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic conditions. Howewer, in literature we didn’t find information which confirms necessity of evaluation of their effectiveness. In the clinical case we evaluated a possibility of using blood coagulation activation indicators to estimate the effectiveness of the Rivaroxaban (D-dimer and fibrin-monomer). The blood D-dimer level was determined by a semiquantitative method of latex agglutination with the monoclonal antibodies (Roche Diagnostics, Germany) on an immunochemical analyzer «Cardiac Rieder» (Roche Diagnostics, Германия). The reference interval was 0–0,7 mkg/ml. The fibrin-monomer concentration in plasma was determined by immunoturbodimetric method on the automatic coagulometer «Sta Compact» (Stago Diagnostics, France). The reference interval was 0–7,05 mcg/ml.

The determination of D-dimer level allows to assess the efficiency of Rivaroxaban. D-dimer and fibrin-monomer allows us to evaluate the development of postoperative period, including the complications development.
