EDITORIAL
Abstract
To be honest, I am always pleased to write an Editorial to the current issue of our journal: this means that one more significant batch of scientific results, ideas and discussions has been almost collected and ready to be published. The first issue of our journal in 2019 is dedicated to cardiovascular surgery, and the authors’ wish to analyze fundamental, basic problems of cardiology is expressly manifested in the majority of the articles.
The second issue of this year has been almost finalized either, and, as an advance advertisement, I would like to underline that it is virtually completely dedicated to the problems of thoracoabdominal and general surgery.
The third issue will be a custom publication, and it will be dedicated to diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment of cardiomyopathy – the basic and one of the most complicated problems in contemporary cardiac surgery: this issue is timed to the soon-to-be Russian Conference on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (November 2019, Astrakhan).
The decision on the journal’s remit for the final issue (N 4, 2019) has not been taken by the editorial board yet despite an overly amount of suggestions in the portfolio: this choice has always been thrilling, and we are yet to choose.
