Analysis of short-term results of endovascular treatment with application of thrombaspiration in patients with acute coronary syndrome

Abstract

The aim – to study the effect of the thrombaspiration procedure when combined with stenting and angioplasty in patients with acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation. Serious complications such as repeated myocardial infarction, stent thrombosis, death were less in the thrombaspirated group. This study shows immediate results, evaluation after 48 hours, and results at 30 days after endovascular treatment.

Material and methods. We give direct results of 270 patients with acute coronary syndrome after urgent thrombus aspiration with following stenting on embolic artery and of 90 patients after urgent angioplastics without thrombus aspiration.

Results. It has been established that a correctly performed thrombaspiration procedure leads to partial distal embolization and the risk of embryological myocardial infarction.

Conclusion. After endovascular carring out embolic artery in thrombus aspiration groups we have complete rehabilitation of epicardial blood circulation and myocardial blush grade in comparison with groups without thrombus aspiration.
