Urgent pancreatoduodenal resection in the treatment of chronic cystic pancreatitis complicated with intra-abdominal hemorrhage

Abstract

Case report presented in the article demonstrates the rational for performing emergency pancreatoduodenal resection in the treatment of cystic pancreatitis complicated with hemorrhage into the empty abdominal cavity. The operation was carried out according to vital reasons, since it is impossible to carry out hemostasis by endovascular methods. This variant of the operation should not be considered as a ruin manipulation in emergency abdominal surgery.
