Possible minimally invasive simultaneous operations with combined echinococcosis of the liver and lung

Abstract

A clinical case of successful surgical treatment of a young patient with combined liver and lung echinococcosis is presented. Taking into account the localization of echinococcal cysts – VII– VIII segments of the right lobe of the liver and S1 of the upper lobe of the left lung, the patient underwent a simultaneous operation: laparoscopic pericystectomy of the right lobe of the liver and thoracoscopic sublobar resection of the left lung. At the present stage of development of surgery, minimally invasive surgery is a method of choice for a radical surgical treatment not only in isolated, but also in combined echinococcosis.
