EDITORIAL

Abstract

Dear readers and contributors,

We are happy to recognize that the amount of research articles contributed to be reviewed by our editorial team is constantly increasing, so is the quality of incoming articles. This fact is good news, as this is the evidence of high-quality work by both the editorial team and the publishing house. It appeals, primarily, to authors of research articles with strong scientific approach to relate to information flow from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, which aligns both with the main lines of work and with the concept of all contributors to the “Petrovsky Journal”: fundamental knowledge into practical surgery. This year, since the number of requests has grown, we increased the amount of published work by as many as one issue and, at the same time, we considerably raised the standards of experts reviewing the scientific component of articles contributed: the journal rating, if rated honestly, is credibility of scientific content of our articles. This is the only way helping to give actual substance to multiple expected impact factors and pseudoscientific indexes which, recently, have been paid so much attention to in miscellaneous reporting and control systems. Only doing so can we approach our final goal – ever growing status of science and surgery of Russia.

Enjoy reading this journal issue.

On behalf of the Editorial Board and Editorial Team, Editor-in-Chief Cardiac Surgeon
