Long-term results as an indicator of fundamental problems in cardiac transplantology
Abstract
International
clinical experience in the field of orthotopic heart transplantation already
has more than 50 years of history. In Russia, the first successful series of
such operations was performed by V.I. Shumakov. Here we present a result
of the first long-term result of such an operation, exceeding three decades of
life with a heart transplant, and analysis of the causes of success and the resulting
diagnostic and treatment problems.
Keywords:dilated cardiomyopathy, cardiogenetics, orthotopic heart transplantation, long-term results in transplantology, post-transplantation cardiomyopathy
