Editorial
Abstract
8 years for a scientific journal is a short time.
Despite this, I would venture to claim that our journal, "Clinical and
Experimental Surgery. Petrovsky Journal", has been recognized not only by
researchers but also by surgeons practicing in Russia. This is
demonstrated by a sharp increase in workload on the editorial
team, editorial board and all our experts, which is caused by the amount
of new contributions we receive each month. That is why we cannot accept
literature reviews and draw our focus completely toward review and study
of original articles of seminal (as priority) and practical importance.
No doubt the number of articles we receive from
foreign contributors is good news to us: along with articles from Belarus,
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, research articles contributed by surgeons from
Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy and Egypt have been published
in 2020. This means that our journal is recognized by and is interesting
to the international medical community.
To ease somehow tension pending the issue of
contributions accepted for print, this year past we have slightly increased the
volume of each issue, which helped us virtually prepare and publish one issue
more in all but name. We will persevere in our efforts where convenient.
On behalf of the
Editorial Board and Editorial Team, Editor-in-Chief Cardiac
Surgeon Sergey Dzemeshkevich
