As a «bridge» to HT, circulatory support devices [Excor biventricular assist device (BiVAD)] were implanted in 6 patients prior to transplantation. In all the cases heart transplants were performed using the bicaval technique. Perioperative mortality was 0%. Mean ICU length of stay was 11,5±7 days. The maximal period of follow-up was 47 months, the mean follow-up time was 21,4 months. Currently we have 27 patients under ongoing follow-up.
