Early results of the application of new semi-rigid biological support rings "NeoCor" in the correction of functional failure tricuspid valve

Abstract

The study was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of new semi-rigid biological annuloplasty rings "NeoCor" for tricuspid valve repair. The in-hospital data of 310 patients who underwent surgical treatment of left heart disease with combined secondary tricuspid regurgitation were analyzed. The following parameters were statistically significantly different: a decrease in pulmonary artery systolic pressure from 50 (41; 60) to 33 (28; 38) mm Hg [ME (Q1; Q3), p<0.001] and a decrease in the degree of tricuspid regurgitation from 2.7±0.8 to 0.4±0.6 (p<0.05). Hemodynamic data after tricuspid valve annuloplasty based on echocardiography were as follows: the median blood flow velocity of 63 (50; 72) cm/s and the median diastolic pressure gradient of 2 (1.5; 2.7) mm Hg. With thr annuloplasty rings sizes of 32, 34 and 36 the median diastolic pressure gradient was 2.1 (1.7; 2.8), 1.9 (1.4; 2.6) and 1.3 (1.2; 2.1) mm Hg, respectively. Thus, the use of new biological annuloplasty rings for tricuspid repair manufactured by NeoCor, LLC (Kemerovo) results in a significant reduction in the degree of regurgitation with a low pressure gradient and the absence of specific complications.
