Dear colleagues!
Abstract
The first article in this issue of our journal has
been contributed by professors E.G. Grebenshchikova and P.D. Tishchenko and is
dedicated to problems arising when artificial intelligence finds its way into
surgery. This article has been distinguished by us not as advertising but
rather because all our surgical innovations have to be socially acceptable
and sought after, as well as to be effective. The examples of
unsuccessful communication between the medical community and the society
are around us. Of the problems that have become recurring in Russia are,
primarily, problems of transplanting vital organs, the problem of
donation, the problem of posttransplant follow-up of organ recipients. The
reason is a lack of interdisciplinary communication and missing bioethical
support of transplantology ideas in the society. Of the current
day problems are hesitancy in regards of about anti-COVID vaccination
supported by incompetent TV shows and comments made by high-rank doctors
who are not involved in this field of medicine.
Our editorial team understands our task as active
selection of such studies and clinical impressions that are justified by logic,
true experiment, reliable clinical results and are badly needed for our
patients. These are main criteria for selecting articles.
