Dear colleagues,

In the current climate, it is essential to search for positive moments in all ongoing events and facts as it is difficult to manage life stresses without them. The positive moment about our journal has been 90 articles in this tough year 2021! This almost a two-times increase in the number of publications means boost for our journal profile, especially in view of the fact that our expert review maintains rather strict quality criteria for the publications: as of today, at least 70% of the contributions have been accepted for publishing.

The strategy of searching for interested readers was taken further: an extra issue related to the problems of paediatric cardiac surgery was published for the first time. We hope it will be a notable contribution to making this problem mainstream in the Russian medicine.
