Treatment of patients with paraduodenal pancreatitis

Abstract

Two clinical observations of successful treatment of paraduodenal pancreatitis are presented. In one case, conservative therapy turned out to be highly effective; in the other, surgical intervention was required; the type of operation was pancreatoduodenal resection. The long-term result was evaluated throughout the year, during which the patients did not have pain. Paraduodenal pancreatitis is a relatively rare disease that requires an individual approach to treatment. Such patients need medical care in a specialized clinics.
