"Spontaneous" rupture of the left ventricle of the heart after reprosthetics of the mitral and aortic valves: сlinical observation that changed my view of the problem
Abstract
A clinical
observation of a rare complication – type II heart rupture after mitral and
aortic heart valve replacement is presented. It is shown that the internal
lesion of the heart wall largely exceeds its external manifestations. Knowledge
of the extent, depth and direction of the rupture may allow the integrity of
the heart wall to be restored. We associate the cause of the development of the
complication, in this case, with cardioversion.
