Clinical case of hybrid open repair of Kommerell’s diverticulum aneurysm in patient with a right-sided aortic arch and post-traumatic aortic arch aneurysm

Abstract

The Kommerell’s diverticulum with right-sided aortic arch is a rare anomaly of the thoracic aorta with their right-sided position relative to the trachea and spine and aneurysmal dilatation of the descending thoracic aorta at origin of aberrant subclavian artery. The frozen elephant trunk procedure with intrathoracic debranching of supraaortic branches is the preferable approach for open repair of these patient that provide comparable hospital results with alternative methods. We are presenting a clinical case of successful open hybrid repair of patient with concomitant Kommerell’s diverticulum aneurysm with a right-sided aortic arch and post-traumatic aortic arch aneurysm using frozen elephant trunk technique.
