Experience in surgical treatment of thoracic aperture syndrome (clinical observation)

Abstract

Despite the development of medicine and the emergence of new diagnostic methods, the problem of thoracic aperture syndrome remains relevant. When analyzing the literature, it can be noted that clinical cases with a description of this syndrome are presented in small numbers: about 20 publications in Russian. Various methods are used for treatment: both conservative and surgical. This article presents a clinical observation of surgical treatment of thoracic aperture syndrome caused by cartilage tumor of the I rib.

Keywords:thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS); chondroma; neurogenic TOS; venous TOS; arterial TOS
