AbstractRelevance and aim. Laparoscopic gastrectomy for the treatment of early gastric cancer has gained acceptance and is now regarded as a suitable alternative to open surgery. The goal of this study is to review our institution’s experience in performing totally laparoscopic gastrectomy for the treatment of both early- and advanced gastric cancer.
Material and methods. A retrospective study was conducted to examine short-term outcomes of laparoscopic gastrectomy performed at Hospital of Мodern Сancer Сare "LISSOD" between January 2011 and July 2014.
Results. 51 patients were included in the study. There were 37 total and 14 subtotal gastrectomies with D2-lymphodissection. Among them 47 (92,2%) operations were done for AGC. The mean operating time was 314 min for total gastrectomy and 252 – for subtotal. Thirty-day morbidity was 11 (21,6%) patients and mortality – 1 (1,9%) patient.
