Clinical case of hybrid surgical treatment of type B aortic dissection with transition to the right aberrant subclavian artery and to the pulmonary artery trunk via the persitent ductus arteriosus

Abstract

We would like to represent our clinical case of successful surgical treatment dissection of pulmonary artery and aorta type B using “Frozen Elephant Trunk” technique and resection of flotating pulmonary artery intima. The peculiarity of reported case is radical and simultaneous intervention in such rare combination of aortic and pulmonary dissection in presence aberrant subclavian artery (arteria lusoria) and the patent ductus arteriosus. The long-term results of concomitant surgical treatment, aortic remodeling after hybrid intervention and a brief review of literature is presented.
