Radical surgical treatment of aggressive angiomyxoma in a 65-year-old

Abstract

Aggressive angiomyxoma is one of the rarest benign tumors of the pelvic-perineal region, most often found in women of reproductive age and extremely rarely in men.

This review presents the experience of surgical treatment of aggressive angiomyxoma of the ischiorectal fossa in a 65-year-old man, with a good prognostic result due to an integrated approach to the diagnosis of this tumor, the correct choice of the volume of surgical treatment and systematic monitoring in the postoperative period.
