The results of mini-invasive treatment of post-burncicatricial strictures of the esophagus

Abstract

Relevance. Chemical burns in frequency are the second largest for-esophageal diseases in adults. The purpose of the research – to improve the results of treatment of patients with sequelae of chemical burns of the esophagus through the creation and application of minimally invasive techniques intraluminal exposure.

Materials and methods. A prospective study of 173 patients with post-burn scar stricture of the esophagus. 95 patients used modern methods of treatment by stenting, 78 patients were treated by conventional methods.

Results. Intensity, duration of pain, temperature reaction, quant No. of complications and the average hospital stay for patients who underwent treatment and prophylactic stenting of the esophagus, was less than in patients after mani-populations dilatation of the esophagus (p<0,05). Postoperative mortality in the control group was 5%, the overall mortality of 1,28%.

Conclusion. Stenting pi schevoda possible to increase the frequency of good long-term results of treatment of scars-O strictures by 35,9% compared with esophageal dilatation and frequency neudovle-creative results of treatment reduced by 27,1% (p<0,05).
