EDITORIAL

Dear colleagues,

this issue marks the third year of our journal’s work. Yes, it has been real work, because in the year of the 50th anniversary of the National Research Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky we set a goal – very complicated and difficult to achieve – to make a journal, in which fundamental biological and medical knowledge and applied surgical science would be comfortably combined. This problem is a long way from being solved by our Editorial Board, but I hope we have been able to show that modern surgery is becoming (and can only be) a high intellectual scientific and practical discipline. The next – the second – issue will be devoted entirely to the problem of surgical treatment of connective tissue dysplasia.
